The Workspace Grant Tracking Numbers table lists up to two numbers for every submission: (1) the system-generated Grants.gov number and (2) the optional, agency-generated Agency Tracking Number.
A Grants.gov number is automatically assigned to every application submission. This identifier can be used to track the application’s status on the Check Application Status page.
If the Federal agency has assigned the package an internal tracking number, it will be displayed in the Agency Tracking Number column. Click the Details link in the Actions column to access the Check Application Status page for more information and additional notes (if the agency chose to add any information in the notes).
Grantors can only assign Agency Tracking Numbers one time. However, there is no limit to the number of times Agency Notes can be assigned/edited. Every time notes are added or edited, the applicant will receive an email notifying them of the update to the notes.
