How to Copy an Opportunity
Click the Manage Opportunities link, which appears under the Grantor Opportunities heading on Grantor Center page.
Enter the applicable search criteria, then click the Search button to find existing opportunities by your agency.
From the results table, click the Copy link in the Actions column of the opportunity you wish to copy.
Note: The Copy link will not be available if the opportunity does not have a synopsis or a forecast.
Enter the elements required to copy an opportunity. These elements include the following (* denotes mandatory fields):
*New Funding Opportunity Number: The Opportunity Number is a number that you create in order to identify your grant opportunity within the Grants.gov system. You must enter a number into this section – the system will not automatically generate a number for you. You may use letters or numbers.
*Opportunity Component to Copy: Select either Forecast or Synopsis. Please note that the components that display in this field are dependent on whether the source opportunity has a Forecast or Synopsis, as well as your roles in Grants.gov.
*Relate Original and Copied Opportunities: Select either Yes or No.
Relationship Comments: Any information you would like to include about copying the opportunity. This field is only available if you decide to relate the opportunities.
Click the Save and Continue button to proceed with copying an opportunity. Copied opportunities are saved as a draft by default. You must then manually publish the draft opportunity for it to be available to the public.
